From 7 am on November 12th to 7 pm on November13th, Litchfield Performing Arts will participate in “Give Local” – a 36-hour online giving campaign – to raise scholarship funds for Litchfield Jazz Campers that are in-need. Launched by the Connecticut Community Foundation, this campaign gives donors the chance to help Litchfield Jazz Camp receive a generous match on top of each gift. To help us raise as much as possible through this challenge, visit www.conncf.org/givelocal.
Executive & Artistic Director/Founder, Vita West Muir stated, “We are elated at this opportunity through the Connecticut Community Foundation. For the first time ever, we have a chance to expand our scholarship funds through a public portal. Scholarship support is needed now more than ever.” Donations are not required to attend, but they are encouraged. Muir will feature never before heard live recordings from the 18 years of the Litchfield Jazz Festival at the party. LPA’s neighbor and long-time supporter, Danielle Mailer, will greet guests in her studio and discuss new works Upside Down in New England, Dreaming in Color and Three Witches of Cornwall among others.
