Bassist, Kyle McCammon was born and raised in northern New Jersey. After attending the New Jersey Performing Art Center’s Wachovia Jazz for Teens program in high school, he studied at the Prins Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, The Netherlands. There he studied with Joris Teepe, Don Braden, Brian Lynch, Ralph Peterson, David Berkman, Conrad Herwig, Dena DeRose, Steve Davis, Ron Jackson, and Sam Burtis. Currently, Kyle is studying at The New School where he will complete his degree in Jazz Performance under Reggie Workman. Kyle has been a teacher’s assistant at the Litchfield Jazz camp since 2006 and also works frequently at NJPAC.
