Litchfield Performing Arts, Inc. is currently seeking items for their upcoming fundraising auctions to support their arts and arts educational programs.

Proposed Budget Cuts:

The not-for-profit organization recieved the news that very little support will be coming from the State this year for arts or arts education programs in rural communities like ours. We are expecting a grant cut in the neighborhood of $148K. That's a very tough nut to crack - but we've already begun looking for ways. Generous Festival sponsors and individual donors have stepped up with new gifts, and one has offered to match $6K in new cash donations for this season.

Online & Live Auction:

We are planning an online auction on iGavel from August 1 - 15 & a live auction at the Litchfield Jazz Festival on Opening Night. A friend has offered a vacation house for a week in the Bahamas, others have given us a sailing cruise, a week at a lakehouse. Parties with music, weekends in New York and more are in the works. We'd like the online auction to focus on items of value and rare collectibles, especially jazz memorabilia. One donor has given us an original Herschfield!
