Litchfield Jazz Camp is excited to announce a new course offering for 2012. Teaching Artist Doug Munro will offer a College Prep Seminar during sessions three (7/22-7/27), four (7/29-8/3), and five (8/5-8/10).

Doug Munro, who is a Professor of Music at SUNY Purchase and founder of their Jazz Program, will offer an insider’s perspective on what to expect from a college-level program. This seminar will prepare Jazz Camp students for higher education, whether it be at conservatory or a university music program. 

Topics covered include:

• How to prepare for a taped or live audition
• How to determine which school is right for you
• Navigating the application course

This ALL NEW elective is perfect for students headed to college next fall, those just beginning the college search and even those younger who just want to get a jump on the process. This course is an example of Litchfield Jazz Camp’s dedication to providing a well-rounded music education to our students.
