2014 Litchfield Jazz Camp Visiting Artists

On
July 17 at 3PM saxophonist Pedrosaxo (Pedro Rafael Garcia Moreno) a Vandoren Artist and a transplant from Spain will do a solo show demonstrating new forms of interpretation, imitation of sounds, world music and more.  Pedro will be familiar to American audiences who saw him make the finals in the hit TV show 'GOT TALENT.'

On July 30 the extraordinary bassist/vocalist Nicki Parrott shares with campers and the public The Legacy of Les Paul. Parrott is an Australian native who now resides in Connecticut when she is not touring worldwide. Paul is the inventor of the electric guitar and Parrott was a member of his trio, performing with him every Monday night at New York’s Iridium Jazz Club for the last 20 years of his life.  (Paul died five years ago at the age of 94). Her public concert is at 3PM.
