Having Fun and Raising Money for Litchfield Jazz Camp

Based on the success of last year’s Scat & Scramble Brunch fundraiser, we bring you 2017’s Brunch With Basie, August 6, 10:30 – noon at the Fairgrounds. The tented party features great music by top Litchfield Jazz Camp students  and instructors, Directed by saxophonist Albert Rivera, a delicious brunch  by Ciesco Catering Co (the same folks who provide our artist meals), private reserve French wines courtesy of Vandoren Vineyards, Brother Thelonious Ale from North Coast Brewing Co., and signature drinks. Know that while you are enjoying yourself you’ll be helping the future of live jazz by supporting Litchfield Jazz Camp scholarships for students with financial need.

The Festival and Camp are dedicated to changing lives through the arts. The Camp has been awarding scholarships since its start in 1997. In all that time we have never turned away a student in need. About a quarter of our campers receive support, amounting to $70,000 to $100,000 annually. Your support for Brunch With Basie will help us keep this commitment.

Brunch ticket holders enjoy the full Sunday Festival lineup. Featured artists include Litchfield Jazz Orchestra, Jen Allen conducting, featuring11-year-old prodigy pianist Brandon Goldberg and vocalist Nicole Zuraitis, The Joe Alterman Trio with Avery Sharpe and Matt Wilson, Rudresh Mahanthappa’s Indo-Pak Coalition and the John Pizzarelli Quartet playing Sinatra and Jobim tunes.
