Please join us to help our young people save America’s true art form -- jazz. Your participation will support the future of live jazz by helping the ground breaking Litchfield Jazz Camp build a scholarship fund for students in need.
To kick off the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Litchfield Jazz Festival in Kent we’re hosting our Friends Gala at the beautiful Morrison Gallery. The 7,000 square-foot space reflects the historical context of the town of Kent as well as providing a spacious and artfully lit interior with soaring ceilings.
You’ll be treated to A Taste of Kent -- delicious hors d'ouvres that are signature dishes by area restaurants and caterers. Fine wines and Magic Hat microbrews will accompany the food. Music will be provided by outstanding students from Litchfield Jazz Camp, which the event supports.
Enjoy the current exhibit at The Morrison Gallery, the work of artist Bob Lenz, a Litchfield Performing Arts Board Member. And added treat is the The Morrison Gallery sculpture garden. Dress as fabulously as you like. It’s a party! VIP parking and up-front seating is included in your Friends ticket.
“Friends Gala” Sponsors include The Morrison Gallery, Magic Hat Brewing Company, and Kent area restaurants.
Friday night Friends Gala parking will be at the Village Barn Shops and across the street at the Kent Fire Station. A coach buses will pick you up at the Gala, take you to the Festival and back to your car later in the evening.

Litchfield Performing Arts, the non-profit that runs the Festival and Camp, is dedicated to the arts and arts education. The Litchfield Jazz Festival’s educational arm, Litchfield Jazz Camp, has been awarding need-based scholarships to students in financial need since its inaugural year in 1997. In past summers we have been able to award up to $100,000 in scholarships! Becoming a “Friend” or “Best Friend” of the festival will help us ensure we never have to turn away a child in need.
