About the Festival:

Our Festival lineup is stellar. Guests liked the introduction of Gospel so much last year that we’re doing it again with the great Kirk Whalum and his Gospel According to Jazz. Also on tap are many of our famed jazz Camp faculty including Matt Wilson, Claudio Roditi and Jimmy Greene—this time with pianist Renee Rosnes. Jane Bunnett, known for introducing Cuban guys to the American jazz scene, is back with talented women! World-famous guitarist, Mike Stern, joins us for the first time, as does new sensational vocalist/pianist from England, Anthony Strong-- Michael Buble watch out! A Django Reinhardt tribute marks the debut of Litchfield Jazz Festival Orchestra, and The Accordion Project by CT’s own Mario Pavone all make this a Festival not to be missed!!! Then, there’s Opening Night...

Friday evening, August 8, showcases the great pianist Cyrus Chestnut and the winner of this year’s Monk Vocal Competition, Cecile McLoren Salvant. Click HERE for full line-up.This great night is jump-started by our traditional Friends of the Festival Gala, featuring lovely food and drink AND music by the best of the best Litchfield Jazz Camp players.
