Please consider a 100% tax deductible year end donation to Litchfield Jazz |
A Message from our FounderAs we approach 2020, we are asking you one final time to help Litchfield Jazz have a financially successful season. We hope to persuade you to give generously by considering the following facts.
2019 was a great year for Litchfield Jazz Camp, our flagship program. We served more students this past summer than we have in any of the last five. With your help we gave financial support to 20% of them—all with documented need who requested it.
Exciting things are in store for you in 2020! Last summer we “married” Litchfield Jazz Festival with the Camp it serves by holding them both at the Gunnery in Washington, CT. This summer, we will all have access to their brand new $23M Thomas S. Perakos Arts and Community Center. We are thrilled to invite you to join us at this modern, comfortable, and spacious PAC for month of weeknight concerts followed by the 25th Anniversary celebration of Litchfield Jazz Festival featuring stars and students, July 25/26.
For 24 years, some more than 250 kids a summer have come through Litchfield Jazz Camp. They are growing up now and thriving– graduating from college, winning scholarships, becoming doctors, financiers, teachers, lawyers…, and many, successful professional jazz musicians. Today they are marrying, starting families, and playing all over the world. And, they are happy with their choices. I know because they tell me so. So many might not have done it without Litchfield Jazz and the help we have received from you.
So, I am asking you, can you contribute to Litchfield Jazz as generously or more generously than you ever have? We rely on your contributions to continue our unbroken tradition of offering need-based scholarships to kids for Litchfield Jazz Camp each year and to help sustain this program into the future.
Remember, any donation made by December 31st is 100% deductible on your 2019 tax return! Did you know that if you are 71 ½, you can make a tax-free donation to Litchfield Jazz directly from your IRA, and it counts towards your mandatory annual withdrawal? We can also accept tax free gifts of stocks and securities. If you are interested in making this type of gift or discussing a bequest or cash gift to our endowment fund at the Connecticut Community Foundation, please email Tegan at tegan@litchfieldjazzfest.com, or call 860-361-6285.
Whatever way you choose to give, just give. Please! I hope we can count on your support so Litchfield Jazz will still be here for your kids and grandkids, here for the music, and here for you for years to come.
