Take the Massachusetts turnpike to Interstate 84 through Hartford. Stay on I-84 and take exit 17-Middlebury. Exit onto Route 64 going west. Follow Route 64 (making a right hand turn at the 5th light to stay on 64) until it ends at Route 6. Turn right onto Route 6 and go through Woodbury. Take a left onto Route 47 (traffic light, drugstore on right) and stay on 47 approximately 9 miles to Washington just past the intersection of Route 199.
From New York and the south:
Take Interstate 684 north to Interstate 84 east through Danbury. Take Exit 15-Southbury. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Route 6 east and go through Southbury and into Woodbury. In Woodbury, turn left onto Route 47 and stay on it for approximately 9 miles to Washington just past the intersection of Route 199.
By Train:
It’s easy, relaxing and affordable to take Metro-North Railroad from Grand Central Station in New York City. Once you arrive at the Metro North Station, you may need to arrange Uber, Lyft, or livery service to Washington. For Metro-North schedules and tickets visit www.mta.info.
By Plane:
Washington is approximately an hour and 15 min from Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, two and a half hours from Laguardia Airport and from John F. Kennedy Airport, both in New York.
