Baritone Saxophone

Baritone saxophonist Andrew Hadro was born in Mexico City and spent his childhood in Sao Paulo. He moved to the Chicago area in 1991where he began his musical studies on the flute and then baritone saxophone. He is a recent graduate from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. His teachers include Greg Fishman, Roger Rosenberg, Gary Smulyan, Danny Bank, Junior Mance, Tim Price, George Garzone, and Ronnie Cuber.

Andrew has performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and with Bjorkestra, and toured extensively and recorded with Chico Hamilton's "Euphoria" Quintet. He is active in the New York scene and involved in several projects with his own band.  Currently, he is touring with the  Junior Mance Quintet. He has, to his credit, several Downbeat student musician awards and a scholarship from the Illinois Jazz Educator's Association.
